Absolutely fantastic camp ground, loads of space, great for swimming and paddle boards, canoes etc. not over crowded even on long weekends. Caretakers are friendly and extremely helpful and the amenity block is clean and tidy. The showers are hot and have great water pressure. We’ve been twice already and have already booked our next two stays there. Cannot recommend highly enough.
We camped on Lumley hill and had lovely views over the dam. The dam is great for swimming and water activities. If you're after a nature experience, this is the place for you. Birds, bandicoots, possums, kangaroos, frogs, hare & pythons. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
There are pythons that live in the amenities block which was a bit outside our comfort zone. I did only see one asleep in the daytime a couple of times but we had no problems with them.
Beautiful sunsets from our site. We loved our visit.
Amazing views.

I liked it very much when I went there for the first time three years ago, but I went there four times recently. The experience was very bad. Almost every time I encountered noise late at night. The quality of camping partners needs to be strengthened. Almost all of them were drunk and shouted loudly. Another time I encountered a couple quarreling, not only made us unable to sleep, but also a series of swear words in the conversation, if you don’t want your children to have such an unpleasant experience in their childhood family vacation, I suggest you carefully consider this place, unless the management can effectively improve this point.
Excellent relaxing location for camping and caravanning. Powered sites with water are great and drive-on with a little reversing. Just be sure to bring your own firewood (or buy some there) as collecting around the campsites is forbidden.
Spare of the moment solo trip out to roll out the swag and have a few beers.. good facilities and park was clean and water was good for a dip.. took my own fire wood and had a cook up in the fire pits provided.. my only one complaint would be the price, i thought 33 dollars for an unpowerd one person spot was definitely to much for one night and a little over double the price i pay at other spots as im a regular camper im also local to the area.. spoke to other campers and they were a little shocked buy price.. anyway , great spot , had a good night had a few beers mission accomplished .
Just came back from another 4 days in the caravan on a powered site at Lumley Hill camp ground at Lake Wivenhoe. The on-site managers Kaytee and Jye and the team are doing a great job and have got the grounds looking fantastic. The rest …
Always kayaking there, good amenities the day centre is open ut the camp ground is temporarily closed due to mondays storm, check before going.
